Overview

This course endeavors to enhance the knowledge of networking, including infrastructures of networks, protocols, network hardware, and services. With a strong foundation and an understanding of basic network functions, standards, and protocols, student will be able to handle advanced networking concepts and technologies including TCP/IP, network security, wireless integration, and Voice over IP. You will also learn about the different types of networks, networking concepts, network architecture, network communications, and network design.

Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND1)

The Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1 (ICND1) v3.0 course provides you with the knowledge and skills that are needed to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, managing network devices, and identifying basic security threats. The course focuses on the functions of networking, knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, establishing internet connectivity, managing ACLs, configuring device security, implementing VLANsand trunks, configuring static routing and RIPv2, and becoming familiar with IPv6 Additional topics include; understanding the interactions and network functions of firewalls, wireless controllers and access points, along with additional focus on IPv6 and basic network security. This course is one of two recommended courses to prepare you for the Cisco CCNA certification.

The Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 2 (ICND2) v3.0 course provides you with the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise network. You will learn to perform fundamental skills including Quality of Service (QoS) elements and understanding their applicability, how virtualized and cloud services interact and impact enterprise networks. You will also cover an overview of network programmability and the related controller types and tools that are available to support software defined network architectures.
